sooo this means i should take my oilpan off and check the sump on my transit connect?, changed out the belts last year, but didnt know about possible rubber bits in the sump.. hm thanks mate

Might be worth getting an ODB2 reader as that may have shown the MAF was a non start fault.

At 3:43 that's all bathed in oil? And to the left is the little rubber belt for the oil pump?

Surely you need to 100 percent need to take the sump off anyway.. all the cambelt teeth will be in the sump and the oil pickup strainer will be blocked

Cameras must not be kicked, beaten or set afire when they accidentally tip over.

Was it a simple OEM radiator or was it upgraded from a different model?

How difficult would it be to get a R1 engine in that thing? Would you be able to save the rear seat with the R1 engine in it and the fuel under the seat?

Love the commentary, love the systematic way you disassemble and reassemble stuff plus your intricate knowledge of these wretched Fords. You have obviously done a few and if i still had mine (i ditched it before 25K when i realised the wet belt issue) i would definitely got you to do it as i have no Milwaukee tools.😅 An absolute top job. 👏👏👏

I've just bought a ranger thunder 2020 none runner.just stripped it out on the garden and 8 rockers broke due to cam bet failed.im going to do the same as you done hopefully fixes it. excellent video thanks

Be loads of these in the scrappers soon when they get to 11/12 yrs whos going to pay £1k for a timing belt or an engine if the pick up strainer gets blocked and kills the engine

How are these wet belts progress? I guess it must be cheaper to make. Surely they could design an engine that will last or be serviceable without such expense? When they design these engines i get the feeling sometimes they are having a laugh

I don't believe its the wrong oil causing the belts to fail, I think its that the belt is in the wrong place, should be on the outside of the engine!.
